The T. Schreiber New Works Initiative continues our 2018-2019 season with a reading of AFTER IMAGE by Kristen Palmer, the second in a series of four staged readings in our season.

SYNOPSIS:
Mai, a talented grad student, drops out of school suddenly after her mother’s death. She leaves behind a fellowship, all her paintings and her long-term boyfriend, Fischer. Fischer seeks her out at her family’s home to find them drinking their sorrows away and Mai avoiding him and everything else from her former life. Bill, Mai’s father, is refusing to pay the mother’s mounting medical bills on principle. Their home is at risk which drives a wedge between Mai and her sister Shelly, long jealous of her artist sisters status as ‘the talented one.
