What's on at the wild project

On Now:

Now - February 10
WHIRLWIND An Eco-Comedy by Jordan Jaffe, directed by Dan Amboyer
With Christian Conn, Annapurna Sriram, and Johnny Wu
Tickets: $25
Schedule: Wednesday - Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 8:00 PM; Sunday at 2:00 PM (added performance on Monday 1/28 at 7:30 PM)

Jordan Jaffe’s new eco-comedy Whirlwind centers around the operations at Arrow Energy, a wind developer whose hundreds of turbines are directly in the migratory path of endangered birds. Bethany, a health and safety manager for Arrow, is tasked with distracting and diverting the efforts of Michael, a wildlife advocate, from challenging the expansion of their wind farm—an assignment that becomes all the more complicated when the two become romantically entangled, while Bethany also dodges inappropriate courting from her boss, Cooper. Darkly comedic and unpredictable, Whirlwind explores the precarious intersection of business, science, and sexual politics involved when “going green.”

February 14 – March 10
SPACEMAN written by Leegrid Stevens directed by Jacob Titus
With Erin Treadway
Produced by Loading Dock Theatre in association with The Wild Project
Schedule: Wednesday – Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 3:00 PM & 7:30 PM; Sunday at 4 PM

After an unfortunate accident during the opening night of Spaceman (2018) involving a speaker, a curtain call and 4 broken bones, Loading Dock is REALLY excited to announce that Spaceman is happening again.

Spaceman follows astronaut Molly Jennis on her attempt to be the first human to reach Mars. Beginning seven months into an eight-month journey to the red planet, she is the lone crew member of the space module Aeneas. With a mission to establish a new colony, the difficulties of interplanetary space travel are brought to life in exacting detail. Radiation exposure, long term weightlessness, low light, extensive communication delays and poor hygiene are just a few of the challenges Molly Jennis must face on her quest to be the first to Mars, but she soon finds nothing compares to the psychological effects of having so much time alone.

March 15 – March 17
