| Jesse Green's continued inability to review playwrights of color without awkwardly centering their race and condescending to them aside, his review reflected my experience with the play. There are some lovely moments, but the characters are not dimensional, there isn't much of a story to justify the running time, and the production is not successful in its choices, particularly around design. There are some strong performances, particularly from the parents. |
