Something For The Boys questions

Just listening to (and enjoying) the new recording of this Cole Porter score. The overture offered on the new PS Classics recording is different to that on the John McGlinn Cole Porter album "Overtures and Ballet Music". The McGlinn recording credits Hans Spialek and Walter Paul with the orchestration used there, but Tommy Krasker says in the PS Classics booklet the orchestration for the overture was “missing among the rediscovered scores” and so a new one was created for the recording. Does this indicate the McGlinn album is not, as it claims, using original orchestrations? Separate question – is much known about Walter Paul – he seems to have worked on original orchestrations of the period but not mentioned other than in the credits (see McGlinn album).
