I think they should give it to Glenny , considering she is a bona fide movie actress who just so happened to have originated the role on Broadway
(wish Warner Bros. had this in mind when they were putting together MAME for the big screen in the early seventies)
When there was SB big screen talk in the mid nineties, the concept was to cast a not-so bankable actress as Norma Desmond and surround her with "box office" names of the day -along the lines of Hugh Jackman, Mark Wahlberg...Gwyneth Paltrow
Funny, before Miss Close tied with Lady Gaga at the Golden Globes, I thought (along with everyone else..including herself-imo) that she was a longshot for "The Wife" and that she would eventually get her Oscar for Sunset Blvd.
