Are people taking kids to see Broadway shows in 2018/2019? (re: closing of ANASTASIA, SPONGEBOB, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND...)

I don't have the data, but does anyone? Does Broadway League report such things?

I do find it a head-scratcher that so many of last season's shows which we'd consider kid-friendly / fun for all ages / are closing. It's tempting to think that DIsney has stolen the market, but FROZEN most certainly isn't doing the business that Disney had hoped it would. Lotta promotional discounts out there.

THE LION KING, ALADDIN and HARRY POTTER are on solid footing. Are the numbers simply such that Broadway can't sustain more than about 3 'kid friendly' shows at any one time?

And, in addition to the 7 PM curtain times, which I was told was a big obstacle for parents with kids, cost is most certainly a factor. Have any shows ever offered different prices for youngsters?

I really don't know, and I'm not one to follow the money / business side of a Broadway season very closely. If anyone could make comparisons to previous seasons I'd love to learn more.
