| I think I saw Stritch twice in ALNM; she struggled with the lyrics to "Liasons" one of those times. But her overall performance was fascinating, very different from the other fine actresses I have seen over the years in the part - Gingold, Regina Resnick, Sheila Smith, Angela, even Glynis Johns if I recall correctly in LA. To my surprise, Stritch was less haughty and severe than the others. She also had a real twinkle in her eyes. I, too, am glad I didn't miss her in this part. |
