| i was disappointed when I head Cusak was cast. The role needs a somewhat larger than life presence, and someone with some spunk. There are some less high profile actors who would have fit the bill quite nicely: Mary Testa, Andrea Martin to name a couple. And what else has this director done to qualify her for an Encores musica? I have never heard of her. Going to see this tomorrow, and I was so looking forward to it as I love the score AND the silliness of it. |
