It was by no means perfect, but it was pretty clear to me how the main character was using Alice in wonderland as a coping mechanism for her own adolescence growing up in a literal hole in the ground. I wish I had known a bit more of Alice in wonderland going in, but found the show mostly effective. And I really like
My maintaining a consistent tone and using stagecraft and choreography to its advantage, it in no way reminded me of the flat production of This Ain’t No Disco, which, outside of a score with some great potential, seemed to not be trying at all. |
