It's all been said already, but I just have to pile on with my own adoration. It was a glorious evening. Someone else said it made them feel old, but it made me feel 40 years younger for a few hours! I had forgotten how many classic Neil Simon one-liners were in the book, and Klein is just a master at delivering them. Lucie owned that stage, though. Even though I know how great she still is (seen recent club acts, caught her on tour in Pippin) she really wowed me last night.
The starry audience was fun. We were between Tommy Tune and Tony Danza. Also saw the great Patricia Birch holding court.
