I've always enjoyed this Hamlisch-Bayer-Sager, especially the wonderful songs ''Fallin','' ''Fill in the Words'' and the infectiously fun title tune.
Lucie Arnaz was so terrific in it that I was disappointed that she didn't get a Tony nomination, like Klein. Though Lucie wouldn't have beaten Angela Lansbury (''Sweeney Todd''), I'm surprised she wasn't nominated over, say, Alexis Smith and Tovah Feldshuh in flops, like ''Platinum'' and ''Sarava.'' |
