| Hello everyone! I've got a musical theatre record collection that some of you may be interested in seeing, and wanted some advice. My great uncle passed away a couple years ago, and left me his and his partner's record collection of around 700-800 records since the 1940s. These are mainly musical theatre soundtracks, and a mixture of US and UK pressings but all are in Very Good to Near Mint quality. It's a phenomenal collection, and I'm in talks with a specialist dealer, but wanted to see if any musical theatre aficionados here would be interested. The link to my Discogs is https://www.discogs.com/user/ben_monk/collection - there's 92 that aren't in their database so I need to upload them manually. There's also some classical, opera, jazz and film soundtracks. If you have any ideas where I could sell them, or if you're interested in them yourself, do reply. It's been a fascinating mission looking through them all! Ben Monk |

| Dear Ben.......I am donating close to 1200 show/soundtrack and vocal cds to University of Surrey outside of London. If they are interested in LP's I would highly reccomend doing the same. They are digitalizing everything and their students can use the library to physically check out a recording or listen w/an electronic key. I am blessed to have had so many records and tapes and then dvds....I want a new generation to love this music the way I did and do....after all as the play so aptly says: YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU! If you're interested contact Julian Woolford who ironically was at the opening of the British production of 9TO 5 tonight,in London, which he directed! Oh yes I donated 2 large boxes of scripts and scores as well! I didn't want to donate to Lincoln Centre Library and have my donations sold in their Flea Market to then sit in private collections. Pass it along! Feel free to contact me privately if you have any other questions but Julian is approachable on Facebook Good luck |
