GREAT SONGS FROM SHOWS EVEN ENCORES! WON’T DO WITH MARILYN MAYE, ELENA SHADDOW, AND MORE! FEBRUARY 21 AT 7:00PM AND 9:30PM

Deborah Grace Winer presents The Classic American Songbook Series at Feinstein’s/54 Below

The best of the classic American Songbook in four jewel-box revues created especially for a supper club setting, and featuring stellar talent from Broadway and beyond.

Foxy? Carnival in Flanders? The Nervous Set? What?

(Hint: Johnny Mercer, “Here’s That Rainy Day,” “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most”). Some of Broadway’s most obscure shows were written by its greatest songwriters (and the occasional one-hit-wonder) leaving a trail of legendary standards and little known gems. Jack Viertel, artistic director of New York City Center Encores! and Deborah Grace Winer, artistic director of the Classic American Songbook Series find the songs and stories behind some of the most beautiful, catchy and surprising scores written for shows that just didn’t—and probably never can—work. A handful of incandescent moments may not be enough to support a ramshackle enterprise, but they are the perfect menu for a celebration at Feinstein’s/54 Below. There’s gold in them thar hills!

Featuring: John Treacy Egan, Aisha de Haas, Ross Lekites, Elena Shaddow, and special guest Marilyn Maye.

Written and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer and Jack Viertel
