Tell that to the throngs of nervous theatergoers at 66th St at 11pm, waiting for a delayed #1 train, trying to catch a LIRR or NJ Transit train at 34th St. If you just miss your suburban train, it's often an hour wait at that hour for the next one. If you're in Times Square , it's a quick 10-15 minute walk to Penn Station. Not so, when you're all the way up at Lincoln Center. It's disruptive to the audience when people start getting up at 10:30pm, then 10:35pm, etc. You know those are the people nervous about catching their trains. Perhaps Lincoln Center will "get a clue" and realize it's disruptive to the audience to start at 8pm.
