| I saw the last Fiasco show and found it too long, boring, and very amateurish. But I do like musicals, so I thought I'd give Fiasco one more chance, and I'm very glad I did. The show runs 1 hour 55 minutes with no intermission and I didn't look at my watch at all (something that rarely happens). So many great songs and every one of the cast is super talented. Very well rehearsed. My favorite of course is the first song (Merrily we roll along) and they played the tune a bit later in the show too. To get the most out of the show, just do a quick Google search for a synopsis online like I did. Remember that the years go backwards in time, so the start of the show is the present, and the end of the show is a couple of decades before. (The show smartly had the year shouted out at the start of each scene, so that people who didn't do research like I did, wouldn't be lost.) As the show opens, the guy (Frank) is shown to have all the money he wanted and a successful career, but he gave up his dreams of doing what he wanted for work in his life, and he's miserable in love. The woman who he could have had something with (Mary) has become an alcoholic and miserable. We go backwards in time and see mistakes that are made in peoples' lives, including an affair where the wife finds out, etc. And then we go all the way to the beginning (at the end of the show) where Frank and his friend are talking on the roof, and they meet Mary. When they were young and innocent. Where Frank could have still followed his dreams with his job and met/married Mary. But things didn't go that way. He had a lousy life since he has money, gave up the job he loved, and no real love. Hope my simplified synopsis helps people to follow the show. Since if I hadn't Googled before, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much as I did. Definitely go and see it. It's been almost sold out for weeks. |

| See Jesse Green’s pan above. I totally disagree with him. | |

| I'll take that as a compliment that the theater experts think I did A+ work on my synopsis :) | |
