| Say what you will about the book but I can't remember having ever seen a production of a Sondheim musical where the cast was so simply not up to the task (and I've seen Maxwell Caulfield in A Little Night Music!). With the possible exception of the actor playing Frank, I felt I was watching something between a college production and community theater most of the night. Fiasco indeed! For the morbidly curious only. |
