We aught up to this on Saturday. Thought the production shone some light into some new corners of the piece.
Sondheim always says he prefers actors who can sing to singers who can act - I think he got his wish.
Liked the new scene interpolated from the non musical "Merrily" gives Frank a few new chance to explain himself.
Still dont care a rap about Gussie - never liked "Growing up" no matter how they place it.
Never say "Franklyn Shepard Inc" done better.
Not perfect - not such thing as a perfect "Merrily" but this one excited and moved me and i was very happy to have seen it |
