| I know they omit people often who deserved to be in the telecast segment... but often it's because they were deemed to not have made their career in film enough to get a slot even if they were very famous or beloved for tv or stage. But Carol, though primarily famous for her stage work, was an Oscar nominee... I think that guarantees her a slot in the tv segment for next year's Oscars, no? |

| You would think so, but since she's on this year's extended list (see MockingbirdGirl's post) I doubt the issue will be revisited next year. | |

| Dorothy Malone was left off of last year's tribute... and she WON an Oscar. If they didn't make it up to Malone this year, no way will they make it up to Channing. |
