the theatre was a Broadway house, though this show is not listed. The Times reviewed it (not as badly as I would have anticipated) as a revue so it could be that it was not registered for Broadway (?). It became a part of the Embassy 123 which I believe was an L on 46th and also Broadway, in what became the Times Square visitor center. [this based on a quick look, happily subject to correction.]

The show played at the off-broadway Mayfair Theater, as listed in the Lortel Archives.
The Mayfair Theatre, at 235 West 46th Street, was a below street level venue, and is currently known as SONY HALL. It is where the MAC AWARDS will take place in March. It was once known as the Diamond Horseshoe and is in the basement of the Paramount Hotel. A revue called "Queen of the Night" played there recently.
I saw a play called FLY BLACKBIRD in that theater in 1962.

Thanks for that. So it appears there have been three theatres called Mayfair, one that became part of the Embassy 123 movie house, one on W44th in the 20s, and this one which as I noted lists 2 Broadway shows, Dance with Me, which ran for a year, and Tubstrip, which ran for 2 weeks.
