| That's odd. Rudin must have an agreement with the estate, which must then have approval of productions of the Segel adaptation, right? But, even if that's the case, I'm not sure why cease and desist letters to theatres presenting the Sergel adaptation would be coming from Rudin. I would have thought that the estate would notify the licensing house for the Sergel and that the licensing house would then pull rights and not authorize any further productions until an agreed upon time. Rudin should only become involved if either the estate or the licensing house is not following whatever agreement he has with the estate. And, even then, this would be a dispute between those three entities and shouldn't involve individual theatres. |
