The link posted refers to a production in Braintree, MA, about 10 miles south of Boston. On the news last night here in Boston, it was reported that a production in Marblehead, MA (about 20 miles north of Boston) received a cease and desist for their production that was to go up this weekend. The reason stated was that since there was a production on Broadway, there couldn't be a production within 25 miles of a major city. Could this be the case for them and not the different versions? (I can't find the link to the newscast...sorry!)
