From Act Two, Scene Scene 5:
Oscar: You're the last of a dying species. A virigin! Yes, a virgin in the most poetical sense of the word.
Even though he says "poetical," this follows him talking about her purity and her innocence, and I think he means virgin very literally. I think it's very clear that Oscar believes in not having sex till marriage, and the show would make no sense if the actors did anything to suggest that Charity and Oscar were having sex. |
