I tried using the newest post feature when it first came onto the site, but found it clumsy and quickly reverted to the familiar format. I also rarely go past the first page. What I do (but only on the first page) is search for my name so I can see if there are responses to my earlier posts that I would likely not see otherwise. I have the sense that people don't post to threads that have aged out of "the traffic." Very rarely do threads here like for more than a couple of days, and I think that is unfortunate. Now that there is less traffic than there used to be overall, things don't bounce down as far as fast (nor do the regularly run off the right side of the page as the did in the old days). There are things that are absent here that maybe belong in the suggestion box, like a way to follow threads as other sites have, or receive emails when a post of yours is responded to. And then of course there is the matter of messaging which seems present almost everywhere now, except here. But these are all gentle suggestions if at all.
