Until very recently, I didn't use the "newest posts" option very much. But more and more, I find it helpful, just to check if anyone has recently posted to a thread I'm following or participating in - but most of the time, especially for newer threads still near the top of the board, I just use the main page.
I would say that normally I don't tend to go beyond the first page of the board - unless perhaps "newest posts" shows activity on an older thread that I'm interested in.
But I do like having the "newest posts" option. Though I agree with you, Alan, that I tend to wonder if anyone tends to look much at "older" threads once they fall off the first page especially. |
