I don't think many people actually go to the bottom of the main page (and/or subsequent pages) and click Older Posts to look at another page of older posts - but, besides Newest Posts showing new replies to old threads, older posts/threads are found when people do a site/All That Chat search for some particular topic/subject (or come in through Google).
