Sorry, I had forgotten the specific reason why Oscar followed Charity to work. And I agree that jumping off a bus to catch up with someone you're dating is not necessarily creepy behavior, though some would say it's a bit much.

That said, assuming it is true that Oscar actually stayed at the dance hall for an hour and presumably observed Charity interacting with the customers without her being aware that he was there, then yes, I think we all agree that's pretty creepy, whether or not it can be classified as stalking.

Also, this hasn't been addressed in previous posts in this thread, but I would say when a man insists to a woman he's dating that he has come to peace with the fact that she has worked in a dance hall, to the point where he asks her to marry him (and she agrees), and then on the way to the marriage license bureau (or AT the marriage license bureau, as in the film) he backs out of the marriage at the last minute, that is a man with major issues.
