I'm a big fan of Ms Baldwin, and enjoyed here in SUPERHERO. But rather than reacting to what one considers a dissing of one's favorite, you gotta read what Jesse Actually wrote, in context. Ms Baldwin is terrific - but she is not a Broadway star - it would be nice of she became one!
She's appeared in 6 Broadway shows over 19 years. She was a replacement swing in THE FULL MONTY , she was in the ensemble and an understudy in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE (at one point taking over some supporting roles during the run), she replaced Nancy Anderson as Helen during the run of WONDERFUL TOWN, she was Sharon, the lead, in the ill advised transfer of the Encores FINIANS RAINBOW in 2009, was featured in the flop BIG FISH in 2013, and played the supporting role of Irene Molloy in HELLO, DOLLY! I enjoyed her in all of these. But to be a Broadway star you have to play the lead role in a couple of hits, at the very least.
