Not to beat a dead horse, but this announced season is a dead horse. I will travel to L.A. for Sting in The Last Ship. I doubt I'll even read the reviews of the remainder.

One good thing, if you don't mind the extreme side seats of the orchestra on a Tuesday night -- which is where I used to sit and when I used to go -- you can see these shows for about 30 bucks each and have your seats guaranteed by a subscription.

Didn't you find the Pantages sightlines there horrible? After sitting there for two shows (and missing 10-15% of the stage), I vowed never again. I'd rather be back balcony center.

I'd rather be able to see the actors' faces, while sitting in about the 8th row of the orchestra on the side aisle in the Ahmanson, than be further back and lose everything. I don't mind missing a quarter of the stage, especially in a musical. And most plays are staged center and shallow anyway.

But it's just my personal choice. And I really like the 30 buck tickets. Now I we could just figure out the traffic...
