Although the downside is that you have to kiss a lot of frogs, metaphorically speaking, to wind up with the next Lin-Manuel Miranda. Recently, I scored cheap tickets to Superhero at 2nd Stage, Alice by Heart at MCC, and My Very Own British Invasion at Paper Mill before previews started. All three proved disappointing. But I'll keep trying for the next Fun Home and Hamilton!
I did get relatively affordable tickets for Lehman Trilogy too, although that wasn't a risk because it played in London and a friend saw it there. |
