| I saw a very early performance in his run as Brad (certainly his first week, but maybe even his second or third). Right before Frank solicits Brad and Janet's opinion of Rocky, the audience often yells, "Ask Ken and Barbie!" This evening, someone called out, "Ask Dylan and Brenda!" The audience went wild. Several performers onstage started to crack up--but not Perry or the unflappable Tom Hewitt. Instead, without taking his eyes off of his scene partner, Perry extended an arm in the direction of the audience member, flipped him the bird, and continued with the scene. It was the perfect Rocky Horror reaction and he forever endeared himself to everyone in the theater that night. |
