The North American Tour launched in October 2018 at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre, is currently playing at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, and is booking into its 3rd year.
The North American Tour of COME FROM AWAY was just nominated for four LA Drama Critics Circle Awards, including Best Production, Best Ensemble Performance, Best Musical Score and Best Music Direction.
The London production of COME FROM AWAY just opened at the Phoenix Theatre and is nominated for 9 Olivier Awards: Best New Musical, Outstanding Achievement in Music, Best Director (Christopher Ashley), Best Theatre Choreographer (Kelly Devine), Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Clive Carter), Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Robert Hands), Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Rachel Tucker), Best Lighting Design (Howell Binkley), Best Sound Design (Gareth Owen). The 2019 Olivier Awards will be presented Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Now in its third, sold-out year on Broadway, COME FROM AWAY recouped its $12 million Broadway capitalization in October 2017, in less than 8 months on Broadway, the quickest for any musical in the 2016/2017 season.
COME FROM AWAY features a book, music and lyrics by Grammy and two-time Tony Award nominees and Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award winners Irene Sankoff & David Hein, direction by Tony Award winner and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Christopher Ashley, musical staging by two-time Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, and music supervision by Grammy Award nominee Ian Eisendrath.

COME FROM AWAY tells the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
On September 11, 2001 the world stopped. On September 12, their stories moved us all.
