| I liked it very much also, so much so that I hoped to see it a second time, but there were no tickets left for my available dates. I assumed I would just catch it again in New York, but then the reviews came out and floored me. I hope this revised production makes it to the east coast. Glad to see they've kept Beowulf Boritt as designer. Louise Pitre is a fine talent, but Rebecca Luker as adult Marie in the DC production moved me to tears at the end. |

| I also thought Rebecca Luker was fantastic in DC. Her last song was as moving & dramatic as anything I've ever seen. Not sure what happened with the casting. Louise Pitre is okay, but she isn't really a singer at all, truth be told. She's an actress who sings. The songs for Adult Marie were terrific, as I recall. Seems odd. |

| Louise Pitre is an incredible singer. I've seen her live twice in the last two years, and she stunned me both times. On what are you basing your opinion? | |

| Is it possible that Rebecca Luker wasn’t available for this version? I’m fairly sure she was committed to this show. | |

| When I saw a workshop, she was the highlight of the show ... the new older Marie's claim to fame seems to have been as star of Mamma Mia in Toronto. | |

| Not only Toronto...Louise Pitre originated the role of Donna on Broadway and got a Tony nod for it. She was terrific, but has not, to my knowledge, been back to New York since. | |

| About 10 years ago, Louise Pitre was in the Carnegie Hall concert version of the musical KRISTINA (aka Kristina Fran Duvemala), which came from the same ABBA songwriters as CHESS... and oh yes, MAMMA MIA. She was quite good in the second female lead, and the show was recorded live. Unfortunately, the English lyrics are absolutely abysmal, so I much prefer the Swedish recording. |
