| Beyond the problem with the property itself, the dreadful stage sets throughout make the entire film seem fake. Perhaps a film that depends on a huge suspension of belief should bring some reality to the physical production. Except for the beautiful wedding dance I've always found the film unbearable. But then, I find the story itself to be irredeemably stupid. |
