MOD Theatre Company and Carson Wright Present “Project X” One Secret City. One Secret Project. One Nuclear Family

A new play written by Taylor Hatch will begin performances on Thursday, March 28th at The Secret Theatre (4402 23rd St. Long Island City, NY). This is a limited engagement showcase through Sunday, April 7th, 2019.
The cast includes Andy Ingalls (Peter and the Starcatcher, Nat’l Tour) playing Richard Hayden, Andrea Daveline (A Christmas Carol, MOD) playing Freda Hayden, and Magarin Hobson (Peter and the Starcatcher, Nat’l Tour) playing their son, Richard Hayden. Georgeta Seserman is the Stage Manager for this production.

Directed and produced in association with Carson Wright, the design team includes set design by Carter Thompson, costume design by Courtney Butt, and lighting design by Benjamin Ehrenreich.

In 1944, a high school science teacher reads a newspaper ad, “Physicists Needed for Project X: a Project that will Win the War.” Eager to aide in the war effort, he immediately whisks his young
family off to a secret city in the hills of Tennessee where he soon learns that his assignment is much heavier than he anticipated. As the weight of the responsibility and secrecy threatens to pull his family apart, he must make a choice that will affect the lives of generations to come. Based on a true story.
