Why not an Italian or Greek nose?
Definitely, either could also read as ethnic and urban. The point is that the musical has some very anti-urban, anti-melting pot drives to it... meant for the tired businessmen of the urban melting pot.
That how some of this shit starts, very small, and it must be called out.
I don't think anti-Semitism starts with someone on ATC pointing out what seems to them like a very soft anti-Semitic trope in a movie from 1953. |
