Whine all you want, but by the time this revival opens, it will have been 20 years since the last one.

Rudin's West Side Story will open more than 10 years after the last revival, and with IVH directing it's unlikely to be the same old WSS.

Sure, there are a lot of shows we'd like to see revived, but if these are really classics of the repertoire they should bear periodic repetition. I don't want to see Aida or La Bohème at the Met every season, but I don't whine that I have the opportunity. They're staples of the repertoire, and different performers bring different things to them.
