There have been better Tony openings as well as the shows themselves, but the performances that showcased well (Beetlejuice, Hadestown, Choir Boy) were wonderful. The Prom and Ain't to Proud came off as so overdone and manic, and did not inspire me to want to see them.

I thought the parody of ''Michael in the Bathroom'' from ''Be More Chill" was charming. It may have had only 1 nomination, but the score was great and this song perfectly showcased what Corden does best.

Was anyone else surprised by the lack of love for TKAM? No win for Jeff Daniels (that loser face now seems really awkward) and I don't believe Celia thanked him in her acceptance.

GREAT speeches by Rachel C. and the producer of "Oklahoma." Tears when Ali Stroker won.
