Ali Stroker Question

I must start off by saying how pleased I am that she won her Tony award.
For me, she was the best thing about this production.

The question I have is: The choreography is staged for a person who is in a wheelchair. And it is staged beautifully. I believed every bit of the joy between Ado Annie and Will Parker throughout. Does her understudy perform in a wheelchair, either by choice or necessity (and I would find it difficult to believe that her replacement would be put into a wheelchair if it wasn't needed.) Is there new choreography and direction?

Does anyone know?
