let's take off our rose-colored nostalgia filters for a moment.
1. Used to be? There has always been "entertainment" on Broadway; Derren Brown just happens to be better than most of it.
2. When was the last time that all of the shitty houses (and the Cort is atm the worst of the lot) were booked for the fall?
3. BAM is not on Broadway.
4. How much less accurate could a statement be than to say that Broadway is now "just the business of what makes most money"? Tell that to the people who are losing their investments in at least 4 plays right now (with another one that most everyone thought would follow the same path but inexplicably has not).
