This is probably of no use whatsoever as a response to your question, but I've been wondering if The Inheritance might suffer the same fate as the recent Angels in America revival. A lauded, sold-out hit in London, but a solid, if markedly more muted success on Broadway.
I say this as I had reservations about The Inheritance as a play - although the production is beautifully staged and performed - and suspect that those issues might be commented upon much more once it gets to New York.
