I enjoy fully immersing myself when it's a two parter.....I was able to snag fourth row center front mezz for a total of $285 including service charges. Perhaps not a bargain, but I'm okay with it.
Perhaps if Vanessa Redgrave is announced, or a similar draw, the selection of tickets might become more limited and discounts may not be offered until closer to the start of the run. I believe that tickets sales could be similar to the recent Angels in America revival. Reviews and word of mouth will have to kick in before it becomes a hot ticket, and that won't start until performances begin.
My advice? If $285 is reasonable to you and you'd like the security of advance planning....buy your ticket today or wait for the box office to open and save the service fees. If the prices are your main concern, I'd wait. I firmly believe that short of them bringing in Dame Judi there will be $99 per part discounts and probably even TDF, at least for the beginning of the run.
Take note: I recently celebrated fifty years of theater going and I am not close to being able to predict the financial hits and misses of a season. |
