"I confess that I like Tony's line. Not for the literal nature of what he's saying, but for his desperation in the moment. It's just a little too honest, which reveals how human he is in that moment. I always love moments like that, that reveal big character flaws in the most vulnerable of times."
I completely understand, and I would even say I agree as far as that goes. But, to me, there's the downside that, even for just a moment, our focus is shifted from Tony's desperate situation to the completely unrelated and relatively very unimportant fact that he thinks Anybodys should stop trying to act like a tough guy and should instead "be a girl." |
