I know you weren't replying to me directly but I just want to say that l personally didn't feel "aggressive discomfort" at the guy's comments. I just thought he was a dick.
No, his statement wasn't wrong but there's a time & a place for observations like that. He was being disruptive. He did it while Jerry Mitchell & Billy Porter were celebrating the hard work of the cast & crew & the generosity of the audience/donors. It was a shitty move.
(He was most likely drunk but that doesn't excuse him. There were a lot of drunk people there but they weren't all acting like assholes.) |
