| Doesn't this tour employ fewer actors, musicians, stagehands, etc. than the tour of the Hal Prince production did? |

| Obviously I respect Sir Cameron's unparalleled judgment as a producer, and if the profits from this tour please him more than the profits from the tours of the original production did, such is his prerogative - but why are you jumping on dramedy's back on a job loss basis? Seems like this is a case where dramedy's aesthetic preferences align with a higher number of jobs, and my assumption was always that Sir Cameron felt less that the art of Hal Prince, Maria Bjornson, etc. was insufficient and more that he could be satisfied enough with the work of other artists to allow him the financial benefit of cutting jobs and paying fewer salaries... but have I been misinformed?? |
