| The Old Globe in San Diego did a highly polished production last summer, Mia Dillon played the mother, that had the audience laughing regularly, especially when the four characters returned from the restaurant in Staten Island. Why is something from the sixties automatically objectionable and unfunny? Well done, the show looks back to a more innocent time, like "You Can't Take It With You." The director played to this by using Bachrach songs during the blackouts. As for Corie trying to lure Paul into bed, I understand this kind of behavior still goes on in the 21st Century.
