It seems to have gotten good reviews, but I would think the creative team which John is a member as book/lyrics would stick around to tweak the show during what I would consider a tryout run. I know the other John (Elton John) abandoned Lestat during the San Fran prebroadway run to do Vegas shows. And we know what a disaster that was on broadway. Curious if others think if creators have any obligations to stick around after opening night in a tryout of a show— post broadway opening night really doesn’t matter anymore.
