at Encores, which was a hit during its original run, was one of the first "concept" musicals, along with "Allegro" and "Lady in the Dark", and one which never had a full cast recording, since there was a strike at the time it would have occurred way back then. Hopefully, they cast it well. I think it's among the most requested titles at Encores, so glad to get it, even if they for some reason feel like they need to revive "Thoroughly Modern Millie" so soon after being on Broadway as well.
Oh yes, Very happy to see "Mack and Mabel" being revived there as well. |
