| I heard that Gwen Verdon was originally wanted for Elvira for "High Spirits". As wonderful as Tammy Grimes sounds on the recording, I bet there are all sorts of wonderful choreographic things they could have done with a flying Gwen Verdon though, and I'm sure she could have captured Elvira's mischievous spirit, too. |
