Lots to untangle here:

"Insult" is a personal offense, so one person cannot assess how another person is affected by something, at least unless they claim some personal pipeline to that person's ego.

You cannot "insult" a person when they or their representatives have authorized the putative "insult."

Can you insult a dead person? (I think not but this highlights the fucked up nature of how the copyright laws in their present form prompt entitlements that are ill-founded.)

It is a fact who wrote what. It is not a fact that a form of branding that corporate-minded rightsholders conclude is in their best interests, is an insult.
