| "I was with this production 100% until that moment. " Seeing as how you understandably were bothered by the completely reconceived ending of the show, I'm very surprised that none of the hundreds of radically reinterpreted moments before that bothered you. Did you actually enjoy the dream ballet? That seems to be hated even by a very large percentage of people who otherwise liked what Fish and company have done to OKLAHOMA! And what of the sex scene between Laurey and Jud? |

| "And here we go again...." Since the person I was responding to (aleck) had just seen the show for the first time and was posting their reactions to it, including their negative feelings about the scene of Jud's death, I see nothing wrong with asking if they were also bothered by certain other directorial choices in Daniel Fish's OKLAHOMA!, even if those choices have been covered here before in discussions with other people in previous threads. Feel free not to participate. |
